Have you ever eaten in a cave? Or in the middle of a plant oasis? Or on a terrace with Arno Breker as “neighbor”? And speaking of superlatives: simply in paradise? The mountain and the oasis of MonteCristo is located only 10 minutes by car from Maspalomas in the Ayagaures Valley.

The plant artist, painter and sculptor Guy Martin has created a truly unique nature park on 4 levels. From a formerly bare rock, an oasis was created in years of work, in which flora and fauna are so close to look at as nowhere else in the Canary Islands.

Warm sunrays in the morning, green smells, peace, quiet, soft bird song and wellness for mind and soul.
Monte Cristo is home to over 1500 different species of plants and more than 70 types of fruit, ensuring that the restaurant on Monte Cristo is always fresh with the sweetest mangoes
the juiciest oranges and the crunchiest macadamia nuts.

You will discover a lake with wonderful koi carps, you will meet talking birds and parrots, you will turn around and you will be almost overwhelmed by the sight of a huge mountain massif that rises on the other side of Monte Cristo, stop for a moment and enjoy the silence, the colours, the smells of the flowers. This is also the place where the dove’s tail flies – a butterfly that is also called hummingbird hawk because of its striking flight behaviour. With its long sucking trunk it feeds on the nectar of the many flowers that can be admired on MonteCristo.

Art & Sculpture

Sculptures by Guy Martin and other artists will take you up the beautifully laid out steps and paths. From time to time you will encounter things from other times. A cave with glass tiles from the 18th century, pieces of walls from medieval castles, a stone mosaic made almost 2000 years ago.

Our apartments are fully equipped with bathroom and kitchen.

On their own terrace you can sunbathe and simply switch off.
